Hediye “Hedo” Usta (b.1998) is a visual artist and doctor of medicine. She was born in Boston, MA, USA and currently living in Ankara, Turkey. She graduated from Ufuk University Faculty of Medicine. Apart from her art career, she is currently working as a emergency medicine doctor in Ankara.
Her art spans across painting, sculpture, and site-specific installations, utilizing a diverse range of organic and inorganic materials applied on various surfaces. She specializes in crafting sculptures from recycled and found objects, giving them a renewed purpose within her artistic vision.
She has partnered with organizations including Converse Turkey, Nike, Based Istanbul, Dickies, Eldem Art Space, KızBaşına (JustAGirl), Bankito Festival in Hungary, Noucmas in Athens, Greece, and numerous local and global art communities for collaborations and projects.
